Kelly Ian Hobkirk is a new author of literary fiction. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles, was selected as graduation speaker, and is a recipient of the Eloise Klein Healey scholarship. His works have appeared in KNOCK, Licton Springs Review, and Lunch Ticket. He is the senior editor of the forthcoming Text+Lit.
His influences include Gayle Brandeis, John Steinbeck, Haruki Murakami, Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell, JD Salinger, Jack Kerouac, Raymond Carver, Chris Ware, C.S. Lewis, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Stephen King, Alma Luz Villanueva, and Ursula K. LeGuin.
